I have been unfaithful

So, here are a few pictures of what I have been up to. I still live in Saipan and I am teaching 6th grade still. Just look at the pictures no one cares about my words anyways. I guess people probably don't even check this anymore anyways. Oh well. I will try and put pictures up from now on. I am sorry blogger that I have been unfaithful to you.

Typhoon

The Tuesday before we went to Guam we had a typhoon come through. It didn't hit us but it came close enough to miss school for the day and have no damage. During the storm there was a man on the roof of our neighbor apt. fixing the roof. We had some of the teachers over for games and stuff. We took a break from games and took a walk to the super market dressed in the nice pochos, it was great fun.

Guam Trip

These are pictures from our Easter vacation in Guam. We had a blast. We were able to eat, shop, see friends, and go to the beach. It was great.

Forbidden Island

This is beautiful Forbidden island located in Saipan. Last week a few friends and I hiked down the long trail to go swimming down there. This past weekend we were reminded of why it has its name "Forbidden". There was a group of Korean students hiking down there, about 17 of them. They were hiking on the south side of the island, near the reef, when a large wave came and swept 5 of them into the ocean. 4 of them were drowned and one is doing fine now. Very sad to see what the ocean is capable of doing. It is very unpredictable. Praise the Lord we made it down there and were fine. We were also being wise and staying away from the reef. It was nice to be able to enjoy Gods beautiful creation. If you look closely at the picture looking up the hill you can see the tiny little brown path that we had to hike to get to and from the spot. What a hike.

So many Partys!

It seems that we have had so many partys as of late. The first one was because our team during talent week won, Yeah, Go Pirates. Also we had 4 birthdays in our class in a row. We are done with parys for a while. Oh well, it was fun!

Fun In the Sun

Here are some pictures from this past week. Some of them are from P.E. with the 4th-6th graders and the others are from a fun filled Sat. at the Niko Hotel. We took 4 elementary students from each class and went swimming for 5 hours Sat. It was a lot of fun but we were very tired afterwards. I got a nice sunburn on my face and arms. It wiped me out on Sunday even. It was loads of fun. Wish we could do it all the time.

Fun In Saipan

Here is a picture of my class last week. We had four extra kids in my class who were here from Korea to learn English for a month. They are the ones not in the uniform. Then we had a few birthdays this last week so we all of us teachers went out together. The one picture is of all of the female teachers that work at the school. The other one is of my friends Josie, Jen, Bryan and Andre' who all work at the school. It is such a blessing to have such good friends in your co-workers.
